Rock On! is celebrating its 10th anniversary with Play it Forward, a special concert at the Colonial Theater on October 19th to benefit the Rock On! Scholarship Fund.

Headlining the concert are former members of BOSTON, guitarist, Barry Goudreau and drummer, Sib Hashian. 

While touring with the multi-platinum selling band Boston, Barry and Sib rocked arenas around the world and played on the band’s first two albums, Boston and Don’t Look Back. When released, Boston was the fastest selling debut album of all time.

Play it Forward will also feature:

Steve Adelson joins Rock On for Play It Forward Oct. 19Chapman Stick master Steve Adelson  and drummer Jerry Marotta.

Sarah Hubbard- Winner of the Daniel Pearl Scholarship

18-year old violinist, Sarah Hubbard, winner of the 2012 Daniel Pearl Memorial Violin Award

performing a tribute to the memory of journalist and violinist Daniel Pearl. Ms. Hubbard will be accompanied by Rock On faculty members Jeff Link, Charlie Tokarz, Ben Kohn, and Chris Mattoon. Rock On is very pleased to present this talented young artist and is honored to help spread the Daniel Pearl Foundation’s mission of peace.

Tony Lee ThomasTony Lee Thomas

One of the Berkshire’s most beloved singer songwriters, Tony will open the show with his own innovative blend of funk, rock, blues, and folk. A consummate musician and published poet, Tony is a charismatic performer not to be missed.

Michael Joseph FabrizioMichael Fabrizio

Rock On goes country with Pittsfield native Michael Fabrizio, a musical maverick and award winning songwriter, now based in Nashville, who knows the rules but breaks them to deliver a passionate blend of country and rock.

Art Decade Boston, MAArt Decade

Art Decade, fronted by guitarist and singer Ben Talmi, will perform with the Art Decade String Quartet. Based at the Berklee School of Music, and described in the Boston Phoenix as “the next big break-out band from Boston”, Art Decade brings to the stage a sophisticated blend of classically influenced, hard driving rock .

the rock on orchestra – comprised of some of the finest young musicians in the Berkshires.

Rock on young Musicians WorkshopBased at Berkshire Community College since 2002, Rock On has emerged as one of the region’s most effective youth mentoring programs. It has become an integral part of Pittsfield’s cultural renaissance with a stage at Pittsfield’s 3rd Thursday celebrations and a downtown home at the First United Methodist Church.

  1. Rock on workshop is one of the most exciting things to look forward to every summer …Every year they come up with fresh ways to anspire young talented musicians to step outsid the perceptible box and learn something new! The musicians that teach the kids are beyond top notch …
    I am sooooo looking forward to seeing all these wonderful artist at the Colonial , it will fill a little of the void until the workshop starts again ….
