A Chorus Line
Only a few more nights left to see BTF’s production of A Chorus Line directed by Eric Hill with choreographer Gerry McIntyre – [the artistic team behind last year’s production of the Who’s Tommy] at the Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield through July 21st.
The reviews are great! “Berkshire Theatre Festival‘s production of A Chorus Line is a dynamic reenactment of its original performance that involves so many specialists, in the fields of orchestra, choreography, lights, sound, and costumes that we can merely list them and aver that they are all deserving of high praise.” “the real joys of the play are the marvelous skills of the dancers, the musicians, and all who make this such a glorious evening at the theatre.” July 7, 2012 performance reviewed by Frances Benn Hall.
Berkshire On Stage calls a “A Chorus Line” “Simply a Musical Knockout!” …” In the pit was the largest orchestra ever being fielded in the Berkshires, 13 musicians including the Conductor/Music Director Steven Freeman who also doubled on Keyboard. They made the most glorious live music to accompany a musical that I have ever heard in these parts,..” Rock On is thrilled to have two of these skilled musicians as faculty, Charlie Tokarz– horns and Jeff Link- electric and upright acoustic bass, to share their experiences as professionals with the students attending Rock On Music Workshop July 16-27 at Berkshire Community College.
A Chorus Line runs through July 21st.
