Joined Forces’ Livio Gravini joins RockON Faculty

Livio GraviniSeasoned rocker and classically trained vocalist Livio Gravini joins the Rock On 2012 faculty as vocal instructor and coach. Livio is a full time singer- songwriter involved in many projects including a motion picture production, as well as orginal musical projects, a cover band and a tribute band. He also plays rhythm guitar.

He is the lead vocalist of the original band Joined Forces, recently signed with Retrospect Records. Livio also sings in American Zeppelin, a true live Led Zeppelin experience. His classics cover band, Big Mojo, plays songs that are everyone’s favorites and including Aerosmith, Whitesnake, Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, and Journey, and the song list is ever evolving.

Livio is a trained musician whose early credits include ‘Vocalist 1st Tenor’ in the Springfield Young Peoples Symphony- Directed by Robert Gutter. He studied with vocal instructor John Cheney in Springfield, MA from 1974-1977.

As vocal instructor and performer for 30 years, Livio has taught private lessons and was also an instructor at Music-men music store, as well as at Brightside Org -school for abused children created by Sisters of the Providence where he volunteered for 2 years.

Livio’s acoustic project, Twisted Twins, performs acoustic classics along with his originals. They appear weekly at Villa Napoletana in East Longmeadow, MA (Wednesdays from 7:pm-11:pm).  You can also catch the Twisted Twins at The Yarde House in South Hadley, MA and in the summer months at Hampton Beach, NH.

When Joined Forces reunited after 20 years in the Fall of 2010, they played to a sold-out crowd at Black-eyed Sally’s in Hartford, CT . Simultaneously they landed a recording contract with Retrospect Records, and the reunion show also served as a cd release party.

Livio’s credits include studio recordings with such well known musicians as:

Roddy Colonna ( drummer for Stevie Ray Vaughn, Delbert McClinton )

Ian MacLagen ( keyboardist for Faces, Rod Stewart )

Jimmy Bell ( guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, House of Lords )

and others.

Now, along with his band Joined Forces, Livio is signed with Retrospect Records- #1 label for retro rock & metal.

Livio Gravini brings a wealth of talent and experience to the RockOn Workshop this Summer. This will be a great opportunity for RO vocal students to learn to how really rock.
