In 2006, NEA Jazz Master Woods gave his leather cap to 14-year-old sax prodigy Grace Kelly at the Pittsfield Jazz Fest. Kelly had been invited to sit-in with Woods and the U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors. This year, Woods and Kelly released a duo recording, Man with the Hat, celebrating that memorable event.
