All Ages Shows this Weekend

This week’s music roster features John Ferrell, 2008 RockOn Alumni. John is a drummer from his heart and music literally born into him. Both of John’s parents are musicians, his father Glenn Ferrell, a founding member of the Cobble Mountain Band, and his mom Elaine Morel, a member of Jezebel and the Dana Welts Band.

Last Summer, John sat in with his dad at Wachonah’s Class reunion held by graduates from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.  (lot’s of talent in that group)  This year, 10 year old John has been asked back by request of his new ‘fans’ and will play at the event this Saturday afternoon at the Dalton American Legion.  Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served. BYOB. The party is open the all members of Wachonah graduating classes from the 60’s – 80’s, and their guests.

Other music this weekend…..
July 28 – check out Divintress tonight at Thursday Live at the Marketplace Cafe on North Street. These folk goddesses play a combination of original songs along and popular covers that encourage the audience to sing along. Their blend of harmonies and acoustic instruments give this group a unique and uplifting sound.

53 North Street – Pittsfield, Massachusetts – Thursday, July 28 · 6:30pm – 8:30pm

July 29 – Soul Prophet & the Faithless Few “No amps, no mics, no problem”
Friday, July 29 · 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Music in it’s simplest form: an offering of ideas set to melody & vocal vibration, with my Six string slung blue on my back. Americana, acoustic rock, blue folk, pop, reggae & whatever. Originals and others.

The Yellow Sofa – 24 Main Street – Northampton, MA

July 31 – Kyle Love at the Lion’s Den in Stockbridge (Red Lion Inn) Sunday night. Thoughtful original music and contemporary covers. Matt is a Berkshire native who has spent some time in Tennessee honing his licks. Stop by – you will be glad you did!
