Rock News
Today, Rolling Stone reported that Eddie Van Halen donated 75 guitars from his personal collection to L.A.-area schools in a collaboration with the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation. “Music education and families are dealing with the economic times,” said the guitarist in a statement, “and I wanted to help them.”
Passing along a part of the good life playing music has provided for him, Van Halen said, “Music kept me off the streets and out of trouble and gave me something that was mine that no one could take away from me,” he hopes to share that gift.
